Lace up your boots and choose your trail! These are some of the most interesting hiking trails in the world that challenge both your physical and mental strength.
1. Inca Trail, Peru
Follow the footsteps of the Inca on this 43 km long trail, explore the ruins of the city of Machu Picchu, and learn about the traditional way of life. Do not forget to bring a mirror and put it beneath yourself to deflect the spirits that are coming up from the earth.
2. Glenbrook Gorge Track, Australia
Take a Blue Mountain tour down the Glenbrook Gorge. Only 3 km long, this dynamic track will get your heart pumping. There is a good chance that you will get off-track lured by the beauty of the surrounding bush. Treat yourself to a refreshing dip in Jellybean Pool after you have completed the challenge.
3. Mt Kilimanjaro, Tanzania
Rainforests, glaciers, snowfields, moorland, deserts, and savannah, or in one word – Mt Kilimanjaro. Choose your way to the roof of Africa wisely, because your summit can be a success or a failure. Sleep under the stars because you will probably never be as close to them again.
4. The Narrows, USA
Your route on this 26 km long journey will be the Virgin River. Your technique – wading and swimming. At least for a half of the route, where the river runs wall to wall. You can traverse the hike in one day, but we recommend taking in the dramatic winding canyons and sheer red walls at a more leisurely pace.
5. Torres del Paine Circuit, Patagonia
The diversity of the scenery and splendour of the nature at the southern tip of South America can hardly be topped. There are massive glaciers, ice floes, stunning volcanic landscapes, and steppe-like plains stretching as far as the eye can see. Your camera will overheat down here.
