12. Relax at St. Kilda beach and Enjoy Melbourne’s Nightlife
St. Kilda beach, one of the most trendy and busy places during the nights or weekends. Here is where all the young people spend their nights at clubs and bars. During the day is surrounded with families going to the Luna Park and enjoying a walk along the beach and eating on the crowded Ackland street, good restaurants and bars here as well. Every Sunday morning there is street market with artesian and art craft along the esplanade, you can find really nice souvenirs here as well. Thus, this is one of the best things to do in Melbourne.
13. Hang out At Federation Square
Located in the heart of Melbourne CBD, Federation Square is the Times Square in New York City, full of lights during the night and people meeting. During the day is a place for a reunion, street art and comedy. With a gigantic screen and a stage where movies and concerts are shown during the day, you can expect to enjoy your time with your friends. If you are lucky you can find superstars rehearsing for their shows, one day I was walking and saw Lenny Kravitz just playing on the street preparing for his show that night, I was shocked to see such a star just playing and jamming in from of everyone who wanted to join him. Here also is where everyone meets to watch international soccer matches, tennis, footy, etc. With very nice and fine cuisine and the Ian Pottery Gallery at the back, the ACMI is the other side and a nice book and arts small indoor market every Sunday. Across the street is the famous and unique Flinders Station. There is an amazing bar Transport Bar, with ‘the view” of Melbourne, the Yarra River and the unique Melbourne Arts & Centre. Also, wifi is free.
14. Visit Healesville
Healesville, located about 1 hour from Melbourne is a Sanctuary part of the Victoria Zoos. Here you can find all the national species of animals in Australia, for a bit extra you can have a picture and hold a koala. Find emus, kangaroos, Tasmania devil and possums all Australian unique species.
15. Shop At Melbourne’s Best Fashion Outlets
Outlets, Melbourne has a great amount of these because of the fashion. They are real bargains one located in the city at the Southern Cross Station, another one close town as well in Docklands is SouthWharf DFO, another one located in the south eastern suburbs DFO Moorabbin, but my favorite one so far is located near the Tullamarine Airport is DFO Essendon, it has probably the bests outlets shops such as Adidas, Puma, Ralph Lauren, Coach, Hugo Boss, Calvin Klein, Guess, etc for real deals, it is worth to check it out if you are here.
